This responsive training course was developed for a large corporation with 18 distinct business units. Each unit requires its own unique version of the course. Dyson & Associates was asked to develop an LMS-hosted solution that would present consistent core training for the entire organization, avoid duplication of effort, and ensure each participant would receive only the information that is relevant to their responsibilities and work tasks.
To satisfy all requirements, we created a single-source version of the course to minimize development costs. After participants select their business unit, the course automatically generates a unique training experience with the content required for the selected group.
Employees must certify competency every year with the current version of this course. Many employees are already familiar with most of the content, due to repeat annual training. For these participants, we include “test-out” branches at the beginning of each section; employees who can demonstrate competency for a subject, can skip those sections and reduce their training time.
Throughout the course, brief quizzes check the participant’s understanding and, if necessary, modify the instructional approach for the learner.
Games and activities communicate information and engage participants in active learning.
We use animation to communicate abstract concepts and to demonstrate job tasks.
Participants who need additional assistance can review and repeat any content until they achieve competency.
